Seven verses that remind us we are not alone

    November 11, 2020 /

Sometimes it’s easy to get wrapped up in our own toxic thoughts. We feel guilt of past sins and forget we have a Savior who has forgiven us. We feel like we are unloveable but forget Christ has already paid our debt with the greatest action of love the world has ever known. We feel lonely in isolating situations and forget the One who is always with us. We have someone who is walking by our side, always ready to comfort, protect and fight for us, friends! We are not alone! Check out these verses the next time you find yourself in a lonely place: Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.…

    Becoming a Well-Watered Woman in a Parched World – Day 3

    October 28, 2020 /

Hello again, everyone! We’re on day three of our week-long devotional together in the Becoming a Well-Watered Woman in a Parched World! So excited you’re here! Just to recap, day one we discussed how we’re really doing right now in the middle of difficult circumstances. When our roots run deep in God’s goodness and steadfast love, nothing can shake us or break us forever. Yesterday we talked about having rotten roots vs. gospel roots. “What we believe about who God is and who we are in him affects the way we live and think, and these beliefs are buried in the root systems of our souls. If we have good…

    Becoming a Well-Watered Woman in a Parched World – Day 2

    October 26, 2020 /

Hello! Today is day two of our week-long devo together! I’m so glad you’re here! Just to recap, we’re going through the Becoming a Well-Watered Woman in a Parched World in the free Youversion Bible app.  Today’s devo is called What is your identity rooted in? And it starts by saying that our sense of identity has roots, and our identity is rooted in what we believe about God and ourselves. When these beliefs aren’t rooted in the truth, chaos ensues. Sometimes we feel our identity is based on past experiences, sins we feel trapped by, failures, mistakes. This is so true. Sometimes I replay really terrible decisions I’ve made…

Becoming a Well-Watered Woman in a Parched World: Day 1

    October 25, 2020 /

Thanks so much for joining our devotional this week! We’re doing the devotional called Becoming a Well-Watered Woman in a Parched World in the free Youversion Bible app. If you haven’t read that yet, I highly recommend checking it out so you can follow along for the week! Kicking off our week is a devo called “How are you – really?” So many times when we’re asked how we’re doing, 99% of the time, we say, “Fine.” No further comment. I would be lying if I said I’ve been fine the last nine months. It’s been a tough year. Not just for me, but literally the entire world. I know…

It was my favorite year, without a doubt, and I’m so excited to see what the good Lord has in store for the Hackworths in 2023. Cheers to the new year and to you, dear friends and family, who provided support and strength to us when we needed it most this year. 🤍

Tomorrow, mama heads back to work, so we are snuggling as much as we can tonight. These sweet moments are my absolute favorite, and I will miss hugging, holding, nursing and kissing this baby whenever we both want and need. Twelve short weeks ago, our lives changed forever, and I’m so thankful for this long, tiresome and incredible journey of parenthood. Prayers for us as we navigate this next transition and for my heavy heart as I say goodbye to my baby in the morning! 🤍😭
