Good Morning Easter Devotional Day 3 – Restored through love

Good morning! I’ve got my coffee, and I’m ready to go for day three of our Good Morning Easter study! If you’re joining us for the first time, welcome! I’m so pumped you’re here!

I really liked the study this morning. It was such a sweet reminder of the Lord’s love for us. His love for us is everlasting, it is a steadfast love and it cannot be changed or separated no matter what we do or do not do, no matter what we say or do not say and no matter who we are and who we become. It’s honestly really overwhelming for me to think about! A love this big, wide, deep and transformational is so hard to wrap my mind around!

John 3:16, one of the most quoted and well-known scriptures in the entire bible, talks about this love.

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life."

God’s love for us moved him to action. That is exactly what love does! Which, by the way, is a fantastic book by Bob Goff, I highly recommend it. It acts, it gives, which is exactly what happened here. God our Father gave his one and only son Jesus to die a sinner’s death on a cross, so that we may be restored to eternal life with him.

The devo goes on to say, “We have been restored through love. When we understand how much we have been loved and restored, we too are moved to action.” When we stop and think of how much love and restoration God has poured into our lives, we too are moved to be a part of God’s restorative work. Love made a way for us, now we can follow God’s lead and share his love with the people around us. You are so loved, friends.

Share in the comments how you can use the truth of God’s word to recognize your value to him. I can’t wait to hear your thoughts!

Thanks for joining us for day three of the Good Morning Easter Devotional! Really looking forward to day 4 with you tomorrow.
